Lang Lang Pastoral Agricultural & Horticultural Association

The Lang Lang Pastoral, Agricultural & Horticultural Association was formed in 1900 when a need became apparent for an Agricultural Show.The first show was held on Wednesday, 27th February 1901 at the Lang Lang Market yards. It was very successful and applications were called for from landowners who would sell or donate land suitable for use as showgrounds. And so the Lang Lang Showgrounds were established. 
Good crowds at each show soon saw the need for more land for parking and a further 3 acres was purchased in 1926.
Nowadays the Lang Lang Show is held every January with many attractions. 
The main arena buzzes with various horse events such as Show Jumping, Galloway Pony & Hack riding, a Fun Ring for the kids, Miniature Ponies, Shetland Ponies, Harness, Pintos,Pony Club, Clydesdales and Stock Horses. 
The "Cattle Spectacular" is a great success every year with many entries from near & far.There are also Poultry, and a wonderful Dog Show, one of the largest outside the Royal Melbourne Show. 
2019 saw the reintroduction of a Stud Sheep Show which was very successful with 88 sheep entries. We look forward to this section getting bigger and better each year.
Also in the main pavilion is the vegetable stall with all proceeds going to the Lang Lang Men's Shed and all the produce donated by local market gardeners. 

Mr Robert Greaves entertains kids of all ages with his potting wheel and his free "Big Draw" activity. 
The main activity in the pavilion is, of course, the Art, Craft, Cooking, Produce, Flowers, Photography etc which is on display and is judged, with prizes going to the most successful entries.

Take a wander around the Showgrounds and you will find food stalls, amusements and showbags, as well as all the activity of the animals and their owners. 

The Lang Lang P.A & H Assoc. would like to thank all the people who give up their time to prepare the grounds and work on show day to make the Lang Lang Show a success every year.
